Happy Passover, Easter, and Eostre

The Easter Bunny's origins are rooted in 13th-century pagan Germany: The Teutonic deity Eostra was the goddess of spring and fertility, and feasts were held in her honor on the Vernal Equinox. Her symbol was the rabbit because of the animal’s high reproduction rate.  As Christianity spread across Europe, the pagan festival of Ēostre was assimilated into Christian culture, including its symbols of the rabbit and the egg. The spring celebration of Easter, which even takes its name from Ēostre, was born.

Hanging some work in the library in Tyngsborough today...so this piece replaces a postcard for today.

freezing Friday the 18th

it's 24 degrees here this morning.  cold April.

oops, this will be both Wednesday and today...I missed yesterday altogether!

 This was Wednesday's card, and I think waking up to snow yesterday just put it right out of my head.

and this is for today, which is officially Blah, Blah, Blah Day, so maybe a bunch of asemic writing will fit the blah blah blah part well...

I've been enjoying the peepers all weekend, our first daffodils are out, and I'm sure I saw a dragon last night!

It's not very related to this card, but today is Big Wind Day, the highest wind ever recorded, 231 MPH, on top of Mt. Washington in 1934 - and my pop, Wendell Stephenson,  was one of the guys doing the recording.  Here's to you Pappy, remembering you today!
